The Mayer Family

We were glad for a day to relax today. This morning at breakfast we found out that there was a time change last night… so we are now back to being six hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time.

After our family church time, we decided to get the Granada City Sightseeing Bus tickets for the day. We rode the double decker bus with the open top first, and Evan & Ellie really enjoyed that. It was relaxing to be able to see the city without walking everywhere. Then we took a smaller Sightseeing Bus up to the Alhambra and around the Albaicin. It was sunny and the bus got very warm and made us all sleepy. Evan & Ellie both fell asleep, so we just stayed on the bus for the second time around.

After lunch and a little break, we went on the double decker bus for the second ride. This time we stopped and toured the Monasterio De La Cartuja, an old Monastery with a very Baroque interior. It had some interesting and kind of gruesome paintings of martyrs in some side rooms. Evan & Ellie were just excited to run around and had fun making noises and humming and singing in the big rooms that made their voices echo. Thankfully, we were almost the only ones there, so they could let loose a little more.

We are meeting Jose tomorrow morning at 10:00 at the bank, to hopefully obtain the document needed so that we can rent an apartment. It is still hard for us to know for sure exactly what apartment God is leading us to. Thanks to all of you who have been and are praying about this.
