The Mayer Family

Evan, Ellie and I are all very excited for tomorrow to come, when dad comes home and he brings Grandpa and Grandma Mayer with him! The last 11 days have gone better than expected without Kevin here. Thanks to everyone who prayed for us! Here are some things we’ve been doing the last few days…

Friday afternoon, my friend Marjorie invited us to her house, and her friend Alejandra who grew up in Mexico, taught us how to make piñatas.

The next day was our neighbor Elisa’s 3rd birthday, and we were invited to her birthday party that evening. So we finished the piñata and took it to the party at her Grandma’s house.

But it had candy inside, and that’s all that mattered!

I thank God for the caring friends he’s given us in the short time we’ve been here. Although I missed Kevin a lot, I haven’t felt lonely. I’m excited to keep walking in the path God has for us, joining him in his work.
