The Mountains

One day this week, Kevin went with his friend Miguel for a drive up to the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The almond trees are in full blossom right now.

Today we went up to the other side of the mountains as a family for a few hours. It was a beautiful day, and the kids enjoyed touching the snow that we’ve been seeing from a distance.

The mountains were full of people skiing and sledding. This actually does have a good slope down, even though it’s hard to see in the picture. Evan and Ellie desperately wanted to join them, but we didn’t have the right clothing and equipment for that! It did look fun!

Wow, what beautiful pictures!! We are jealous- snow looks so fun! Eliza will be amazed when she sees snow for the first time (that she remembers). The almond flowers look like spring.
