New baby in class
My friend and classmate Alice brought her newborn baby Zoé to our Spanish class in December for everyone to meet. So adorable…

This picture in today’s paper captured my feelings while walking the crowded streets near the center of town tonight. I was surrounded by well-dressed shoppers with the perfect fashions and accessories storming the stores to find the best deals on the sales going on, to add to their accessories, shoes and clothes collection. Meanwhile, all of us pass by, hardly seeing those people here and there along the street- freezing cold, in need of help, begging to put food on the table, who could care less about the latest accessory. They just need food to survive, money to pay the rent.
I pass by too often to buy the latest accessory. I am guilty.

On the left, 2 shoppers huddled together, looking in a store window. On the right, a beggar.
We spent the week with friends Susan, Nicole and Teresa, and brought in the New Year together in the center of the city where the festivities and fireworks were happening. We joined every one else in gulping down our grapes, one for each dong of the clock. Yes, you are so clever, that would be 12.

New Years Day was spent at Pablo & Judi’s, enjoying the awesome food…

That week we also enjoyed showing the girls around the city, worshipping together and also shopping and other girl stuff. Thanks for coming sisters!
